Springfest 2018 is planned for May 18 & 19, 2018. Entering our 31st year, Springfest once again will bring to you all the fun and activities you have come to know and love.
In Spring Park, you’ll find an extensive arts and crafts show, featuring handmade items like jewelry, soap, leatherwork, furniture and toys. You’ll also enjoy classic festival-food favorites, from corndogs and onion blossoms to ice cream and kettle corn. Live music from local and regional names keeps things hopping at the Band Shell.
Nature-loving kiddos will have plenty to explore at Springfest, including pony rides, a petting zoo and the immersive butterfly experience at the Butterfly Pavilion, sponsored by First Electric Cooperative. Tickets to the Pavilion are $3, which includes abutterfly net.
More events and attractions are being added daily. Save the date and watch for more information coming soon!
The 2018 Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Sandy Beach on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake. Partygoers will arrive by boat and by car to enjoy food vendors, and live music beginning at 7:30 p.m.
At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas will light the skies above the lake, as thousands of breathtaking fireworks are choreographed to music broadcast on Timeless 106.1 FM KFFB. Beautifully mirrored in the lake’s surface, the show is equally magical whether viewed by boat or on the shore, and each year’s Fireworks Spectacular is better than the last.
The Fireworks Extravaganza is free, although there is $10 parking fee for those traveling by car.
Races begin at 10 a.m. Cardboard boats of all shapes and sizes compete for speed and design. Best design wins the Pride of the Fleet. A family event with good food, watermelon eating contest, treasure dig, and many other activities for kids.
